SALEM, Ore.–  Willamina’s Kisor Savage has his eye on the prize of winning the State Championship.
After finishing third and fourth the last two year’s, he’s coming out his senior year motivated and ready to chase the goal.
And on Saturday, at the second annual Hadden Invitational, Wrestling at 144, he wheeled off victories and reached the Tournament finals against Harrisburg’s Connor Olson.
After a quick takedown to start the match, Savage led 3-0.  Knowing he got the takedown and Olson making it difficult for the turn for a possible pin, Savage used it as motivation for round two as he got a takedown and a four-point nearfall to push his lead to 10-0 going into the third round.  He padded his total in the third round with an escape and another takedown to help him take the bout 14-0 to finish first in the tournament.
“I’m working more on technique and mastering my skill.  I’m just getting great at what I’m great at right now and I feel like that’s key  to success for me,” said Savage

Savage was one of three Bullsogs to win first-place.  Grayson Hubbard won the 120 pound title and Adonijah Stanton won the 132 pound title.
