KLAMATH FALLS,  Ore.–  It wasn’t how the Post 58 Crushers had hoped to start their road trip Tuesday night at Kiger Stadium coming off of their Area-3 League Sweep of the Wellcare Dodgers on Monday.
They, the Crushers, were playing the Klamath Falls Falcons on this day, getting one game in before heading to Reno, Nevada for a tournament and had built themselves a nice little 4-0 lead on the Falcons going into the bottom half of the third inning.
Then.  Klamath Falls put the ball in play.
Using five Post 58 errors, the Falcons pulled even with the Crushers.  Eventually, taking a 6-4 lead by the end of the sixth inning.
“This is a really good team. They got a lot of All-State guys, a really good warm-up, and now we got to go play some really good teams.  We’re going to see some really good competition over there in Reno, I think it’s going to better everyone on the team,” said Silverton’s Wyatt Postlewait. “It’s still really early in the season.  We’re doing pretty good in league, so we’re going to take advantage of these non-league matchups and get our guys their At-Bats and everyone learning.”
Post 58 cut it to 6-5 going into the bottom half of the seventh thanks to a Wade Bergdhal (Stayton) single.  The Falcons responded with two more over the course of the seventh and eighth innings respectively to ice the victory.
Kollin Tacchini and PJ Safford led the Falcons with two hits and 2RBI’S, respectively.
Bergdhal and Sawyer Enderle (Silverton) each drove in two runs for the Crushers.  Postlewait and Oliver Hunt (Stayton) each had two hits each as they head to play the Reno Muckdogs on Thursday.
