SALEM, Ore.– The Dayton Boys Basketball team turned it on in the second half against Willamette Valley Christian.
Up 29-20 going into the second half they started to move the ball around, and it opened up lanes and offensive opportunities for them as they began to pull away in their 62-35 victory over the Warriors. Using a 33-15 run to snao their four-game losing streak in the process Thursday afternoon.
“Just moving the ball a lot and playing as a team and trusting our teammates. Once we trust, pass and get the ball moving, we start feeling good and our shots start going into and we don’t miss from there,” said Riley Corona, who led the Pirates with 12 points.
The squad will look to sharpen up their defense, a focal point post game, as they look to try ro string together a second win at the annual Crusader Classic Tournament.
