SSBC Honorees For November 14

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club honored North Salem’s Braxton Singleton (Football), West Salem’s Koen Campos (Football), Sprague’s Emma Brewer (Volleyball), Sprague’s Khloe Livingston (Volleyball), Sprague’s Eliza Lohrman (Volleyball),South Salem’s Avery Herber (Volleyball) at this past Friday’s meeting.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Olsen Daines Senior Defensive Football Athlete of the Year, from North Salem, is Braxton Singleton.

Braxton, a three-year starter on both sides of the ball, played wide receiver, defensive back, and kick returner for the Viks. He finished his senior year with 731 yards receiving and 6 TDs as North’s leading WR. Braxton has also been the leader of the defense the past two seasons for North, finishing the season with 56.5 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 2 interceptions and 3 pass break-ups. As a kick returner he had a net 38.5 yards per return and 1 kick-off return for a TD.

A two-time SSBC AoW for football and track and field, respectively, he received 2025 all-Special District 1 football honors as a 1st team WR, 1st team DB, and 1st team kick returner.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Olsen Daines Senior Football Offensive Athlete of the Year, from West Salem, is Koen Campos.

Koen, a captain, played running back and linebacker for the Titans who finished the season with a 6-4 season, a 5-3 conference record, and a final #15 6A ranking. On the season, as a running back, Koen had 187 carries for 1398 yards, 7.5 yard average, and a total of 23 TDs. For his Titan career he had 432 carries for 3104 yards (more than 7 yards per carry) and 51 TDs – all against just 3 fumbles!

Koen was an SSBC AoW earlier this season and was named the Special District 1 Offensive Player of the Year.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Olsen Daines Senior Girls Volleyball Athlete of the Year, from Sprague Girls Volleyball, is Emma Brewer.

Emma played outside hitter for the Olys and was an Athlete of the Week earlier this year. Named 1st team all-CVC, she was also named 1st team 6A all-tournament and the Moda Player of the Match for the 6A State Championship match. On the season she had 420 kills hitting an efficient .342. In addition, she had 43 aces, 44 assists, 260 digs, and 41 blocks.

This is Emma’s 6th SSBC recognition – 4 for volleyball and 2 for track and field.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Sprague Girls Volleyball, is Khloe Livingston.

Khloe, a junior and team captain, is an outside hitter for the Olys who finished 2nd in the state at 6A with a 27-4 record. After being out for two weeks with a knee issue, she came back with 10 kills, 10 digs, a block, and an ace in the Round 1 3-set win over St. Mary’s Academy.

This is Khloe’s first AoW honor.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Sprague Girls Volleyball, is Eliza Lohrman.

Eliza, a sophomore and second year varsity player, is the libero for the Olys. In the 3-1 2025 6A State Championship semifinal win over Sheldon, she had a 1.9 passing average, 7 digs and 3 aces. In the 5-set championship match she again had a 1.9 passing average, 14 digs, and an ace.

Eliza was the only sophomore on the 1st team all-Central Valley Conference team.

This is Eliza’s first AoW recognition.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from South Salem Girls Volleyball, is Avery Herber.

Avery, a junior, is an outside hitter for the Saxons who finished 3rd in the 6A State Championship with a 28-5 record. An offensive force, Avery ended the year with 310 kills, including 13 in the 3rd place win over Sheldon. She also picked up 21 digs in the match.

Coach Leichty says, “Avery has been a huge help in balancing out our offense and giving us options in the front row. She had a great season and we are looking forward to having her back for one more.”

This is Avery’s third AoW for volleyball.
