Several local Salem-area teams were in action late this past week. Here’s a Round-Up of the action. My apologies if I missed anyone
Stumptown Showdown
PORTLAND, Ore. –North Salem’s Nelida Dalgas and West Salem’s Avery Meier finished one-two at the Stumptown Showdown Saturday. Dalgas won the Varsity Girls Race with a time of 17:40.21 while Meier broke the school record with her PR time of 17:54.49. The Titans Mia Rasca finished 14th as the West Salem Girls Cross Country team finished sixth as a team.
West Salem’s Andres Hagen finished 11th in the Boys Race.
Grant Robison Invitational
MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — On Thursday, the Dallas Girls Cross Country team finished second as a team with a team score of 87 points. Kelsey Rodli won the event with a school record time of 18:01.06. Amber Green finished fourth with a PR time of 18:29.61.
McNary’s Jocelyn Schurbusch finished sixth with a PR time of 18:54.02, and Western Christian’s Kali Ellis finished seventh.
Central’s Ty Cirino finished second in the boys’ race with Woodburn’s David Villanueva (fourth), McNary’s Yosaf Picazo (fifth), and the Celtics Jaxsen Herring (tenth) finishing in the Top 10. McNary finished fourth as a team.
Sprague finished second as a team with 83 team points with Anderson Webb, the Olympians’ highest finisher, at 13th.
Harrisburg Challenge
HARRISBURG, Ore.– Scio’s Aniyah Klindtworth finished seventh in the Harrisburg Challenge on Thursday, and the Loggers Syrus Diaz finished tenth in the Boys Race.
