TURNER, Ore.– Cascade’s Cash Butler will be continuing his playing career in the sport of Football at Willamette University.
The senior lineman and linebacker signed his Letter of Intent earlier this week to be a part of the Bearcat program, fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing College Football. Facing challenges that he persevered from, developed him into the athlete that he is, leaving a program that he helped reach the 4A State Semifinals this past Fall before falling to Mazama in Overtime 21-14, the Cascade football program finished the season 10-2 on the year.
“Playing at Cascade and representing the Cougar program has been a fantastic experience. Over the past few years, I’ve grown as a player and person, built strong relationships, and learned what it means to compete with pride and purpose,” Butler starts. “The opportunity to play at Willamette is the fulfillment of a dream I’ve been working toward my whole life. The journey to this point hasn’t been easy—it’s been full of ups and downs—but those challenges have shaped me into the athlete and person I am today. They’ve led me to this moment: earning the chance to compete in college football.”
Willamette University finished the Fall 2024 season 2-8 on the year under first-year Head Coach Aric Williams.
