SALEM, Ore.– The legacy of Blanchet’s Thalia Lazarus continues into the collegiate ranks as the Cavalier senior signed her Letter of Intent to play College soccer at Willamette University Thursday afternoon.
A student of the game, Lazarus, she’s always looking for ways to help her team, and you improve herself. Dribbling and reading the field are what she needs to improve on as she enters college.
“My love for the game and the love in learning the game has just grown over these past four years ,” Lazarus said. “And the people who’ve supported me helped me grow even more so, i really do appreciate them to have this opportunity.
“I feel like my works paid off, I worked so hard for soccer and I love the sport so much and to have this part of my life where I can continue and where I put in the work to continhe to play in College just means so much to me to do that.”
Lazarus finished her prep career with 50 career goals and 19 assists in her four years with Blanchet. Lazarus, who will be majoring in Biochemistry, joins a Bearcat program that went 6-7-7 in 2024 and 5-6-5 in NWC play.
