SALEM, Ore.– After their first defeat in nearly two years going into Christmas, the Amity Girls Basketball came back out in their first game since ready to go.
Behind nine three-pointers and a 17-point game by Adie Nisly and a 16-point game by Lyliana Rideout, the Warriors bounced back into the win column in a big way to open the Crusader Classic Green Bracket on Thursday following their 67-26 victory over Crane.
“It feels good coming back from that tournament…Just keep running and keep having fun with it too. We’re having a lot of fun right now, playing hard,” said Rideout.
After Amity jumped out to a 22-8 first quarter lead, the Mustangs of Crane, who were ranked seventh in 1A in the Coaches Poll at this past week’s rankings, were able to cut the deficit to 11 early in the second quarter before the Warriors pulled away for good. Amity will play Western Christian at 6:30pm in the Main Gym at Salem Academy.
