SALEM, Ore.– The Arizona trip helped the Sprague Volleyball team see the potential that they have coming down the stretch and to have that confidence in that potential and their abilities coming down the stretch of the regular season and the postseason ahead.
“It definitely allows the girls to see how good of a team that they actually are because you don’t necessarily see that in the State of Oregon. You don’t get that constant, high-level of play. We have it here-and-there, but to really go out of state and be able to see these Arizona teams and the California teams and all the teams we were seeing all around and to see us have that kind of success, it helps the girls have that mich more confidence,” said Sprague Head Coach Anne Olsen.
They came back to Oregon and picked up sweeps of North Salem, in Central Valley Conference play, on Thursday and a 25-16, 25-12, 25-16 sweep of Westview Monday to push theor winning streak against Oregon schools to 16 games this year, 17 if you include last season’s fourth-place game.
“We’re taking away that we are a good team and that we need to have confidence in ourselves,” said Khloe Livingston. “We know that we’re a good team. We just got to play together and play to that level.”
Sprague heads to West Salem on Tuesday before closing the week on Thursday against McNary.
