It was announced Monday morning that Isaiah Gentry has taken over the McNary Girls Basketball Program. Gentry has been an assistant with the program for the past two seasons.

Keizer, OR – May 12, 2025 – McNary High School is excited to announce the hiring of Isaiah Gentry as the new Head Coach of the Celtics Girls Basketball program. He succeeds Coach Brittany Dunn in leading the team.
Coach Gentry is a 2016 graduate of Milwaukie High School. He began his collegiate basketball career at Clackamas Community College before transferring to Vanguard University of Southern California, where he earned all-conference honors during his senior season. Following college, Gentry played professionally for six years—four in a semi-professional league and two in Mexico. He currently plays for the Salem Capitals.
In addition to his playing career, Coach Gentry brings a strong coaching background to the role. He is currently a Health Teacher at McNary High School and has served as a varsity assistant coach for the girls basketball team for the past two seasons. His coaching experience also includes six years as a player development coach, working with athletes across various levels to build skill and confidence.
“I am extremely excited and grateful for this opportunity,” said Coach Gentry. “It’s an honor to be part of such a great community here at McNary. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow women’s basketball both at the high school and youth levels.”
McNary High School is thrilled to welcome Coach Gentry into his new leadership role and looks forward to a strong future for the Celtics Girls Basketball program.
