SCAPPOOSE, Ore.– The Cascade Girls Wrestling team finished fourth as a team at the 4A/3A/2A/1A Special District 1 District Meet.
The Cougars, who had five wrestlers enter the tournament, qualified four for the State Meet. Alexis Cruz won the 100-pound District Title. Nevaeh Hampton (120)Riley Paden (145) finished District Runner-Up. Chelsea Howard finished third at 235 to qualify for State.
Scio’s Kayla Borregard won the 120-pound District Title with Emily Zamudio finishing District Runner-Up at 110 to qualify for the State Meet
North Marion saw Chloe Comerford (140) and Ambar Benito (195) qualify for the State Meet with their District Runner-Up finishes.
Willamina’s Zoe Brewer (105) and Paige Baker (190) each won District Titles for the Bulldogs. Gervais’ Ksenia Zepeda also won a District Title at 155 pounds. Dayton’s Aliyah Sauceda finished District Runner-Up at 170 pounds to qualify for State.
