SALEM, Ore.– The Sprague Wrestling team held the Hadden Invitational for both Boys and Girls wrestling squads Saturday at Sprague High School.
Boys Wrestling
The host Olympians saw Jaxon Camillo (157) win a title with Kenya Johnson (190) finished Runner-Up in his weight class. Sprague had, in total, nine Boys Wrestlers place in the tournament.
The Cascade Boys Wrestling team saw 11 athlete’s podiumed in the tournament with Hans Kamm (144), Brody Copple (150) and Griffin Copple (165) all taking home gold in their respective weight classes. The Cougars also had four second-place finishers.
Willamina saw Eden Stanton (126) and Kaden Konovalov (175) place first in their respective weight classes. Adonijah Stanton (132), Kiso Savage (138) and Orrin Reid (175) all finished second as 11 Bulldogs placed.
Clackamas (two), Harrisburg (three) and Glencoe (two) saw multiple winners in the Tournament.
Girls Wrestling
Willamina’s Zoe Brewer (105-110) won first-place, Kelsea Gray (115) and Paige Becker (235) each finished second in the tournament with Aleena Leno (125) finishing fourth.
Sprague’s Isabella Wilburn (115) and Sprague’s Evelyn Wirfs (170) won titles. Bailey Seley placed third at 135. Jovi Johnson (115), Isabella Dewey (120) each placed fourth, Camryn Baarson (105-110) placed fifth in her division.
Cascade’s Nevaeh Hampton won the 120-pound division, Riley Paden won the 140-pound division. Angelica Fantoni placed second at 170, Lauren Webb (155) placed third. Alexis Cruz (105-110) placed fourth.
Harrisburg and Scaapoose each saw two wrestlers win Titles in Saturday’s tournament.
