Track Round-Up

Several local Salem-area teams took part in the Kennedy Twilight, Garden City Invitational in Silverton and the Stayton Invitational.

Here’s a Round-Up:

Kennedy Twilight
MOUNT ANGEL, Ore.–  The Gervais Boys Track and Field team won the Boys Title at the Kennedy Twilight Meet.  Lincoln Jones (100), Mitchell Boyd (Shot Put), Ben Cam (Long Jump) and the Gervais Boys 4×100 meter relay won events.  Ben Cam (200)

Kennedy
Kaleb Eder (200) finished second and won the 400-meter race. The Trojans Boys 4×100 meter relay team.

Rejavani Rene-Rose Ifenuk won the 100-meter dash and finished second in the 200-meter dash.  Kaia Guerrero finished second in the 800-meter race. Charlee Traeger won the 100-meter hurdles and finished second in the 300-meter hurdles.

Crosshill Christian
Derek Toomstra and Marshall Garett went one-two in the 800-meter race. Sawyer Bain finished second in the 300-meter hurdles. Jeremiah Stucker finished second in the Pole Vault.

Corina Phillips won the 1,500-meter race.  The 4×100 meter and the 4×400 meter Girls Relay Teams won their events.  Kasey Zuidema won the Shot Put, Javelin and Discus to lead

Chemawa
Ryelei Bauer PRd in the Discus with a PR throw of 82-feet to finish fourth in the event.  Bauer also finished ninth in the Javelin and fourth in the Shot Put with a PR throw of 31-feet-2-inches.

Stayton Invitational
STAYTON, Ore.– The Central Boys and Girls Track and Field teams each finished second at the Stayton Invitational on Saturday.
Ryan Burgett (400-meter race), Ty Cirino (3,000-meters) won their events. Rice (100-meter dash), Aidan Wendring  (3,00meter race), Alexis Ramirez (Pole Vault), Ryan Perkins (Long Jump) and Panthers Boys 4×100 team all finished second.
Ava Sanchez (100-meters and 200-meter dashes), Layla Olsen (Long Jump)won events.  The Panthers Girls 4×100-meter relay team finished second

Salem Academy
Somto Nwaele finished fourth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Cascade
Josiah Hawkins finished third in the 100-meter dash.  Andrew Moore finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a PR time of 43.43.

The Cascade 4×400-meter girls relay team won their event. Brayley Ford finished third in the Discus.

Regis
Stuart McLaughlin finished fourth in the 3,000 meter race.  Clara Persons finished seventh in the 400-meter race.  Sophia Shine finished fourth in the High Jump.

Stayton
Carter Sorenson finished fourth in the Shot Pit  with a PR throw of 50-feet-7-inches and was third in the Discus.  Logan Butenschoen finished tied for third in the High Jump at five-feet-10-inches.

Mila Morley broke the school record in the Javelin with a PR throw of 140-feet-9-inches. Madelyn Olsen finished second in the Lony Jump.  Presely Monninger finished fifth in the 3,000-meter race.  Evelyn Welch finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles. Mollie Emmert finished third in the Shot Put.  Ruby Strawn finished third in the Pole Vault.

Santiam
Skeeter Irwin finished fifth in the Triple Jump.

Garden City Invitational
SILVERTON,  Ore.–  The Silverton Boys Track and Field team won the team award while the Foxes Girls Track and Field team finished second.
On the Boys side of the Meet, Wyatt Metzer (100 and 200), Logan Uitto (300-meter hurdles), Ben Moore (Javelin), Caden Druller (High Jump and Long Jump) and the Silverton Boys 4×100 meter relay team won events.

On the girls side of the Meet.  Lexi Enzenberger (100, 200), Faith Berekoff (High Jump) won events.  Ellie Peterson (1500), Megan Wavra (200), Chloe Twede (Javelin), Danika Lashley (Pole Vault) finished second.

West Salem
The West Salem Boys 4×100 and 4×400 meter Boys Relay team finished second.  Ethan Tatum (Shot Put) finished second. Jarrett Peil (400-meter) finished second. Andres Hagen (400), Dylan McGuirk (1500-meter), David Goodwin (3,000-meters) finished third.

Madelyn Olson finished second in the 1,500 meter race.  Madelyn Miller finished second in the Shot Put,  Ava Asman finished second in the Long Jump.  Samanatha Griffin won the Triple Jump.

North Salem
Braxton Singleton won the 110-meter hurdles with a PR time of 14.69.
Saira Vipperman finished third in the Shot Put

Dallas
Bertram Latta won the Shot Put and the Discus.  Israel Mabry (Javelin) finished second. Nick Walker finished fourth in the 400-meter race.

Kelsey Rodli,  Avery Hoffman and Jozie Peirce went one-two-three in the 3,000 meter rwcr.
Tanya Green (400) finished second and won the 300-meter hurdles.  Jana Deming won the Pole Vault event.

Woodburn
David Villanueva Cortes finished fourth in the 800-meter race and fourth in the 1,500-meter race.
