The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club honored McNary’s Ashlyn Wittnebel (Softball), Sprague’e Anderson Webb (Boys Golf), Sprague’s Beck Olsen (Boys Track and Field), North Salem’s Braxton Singleton (Boys Track and Field), Salem Academy’s Baylie Imig (Softball) and Salem Academy’s Ellie Gladow (Girls Golf).

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from McNary Softball, is senior Ashlyn Wittnebel.
The following is provided by Coach Briana Brewer:
Ashlyn pitched 3 games last week, collecting the wins in all 3 games versus Cleveland, Tualatin, and Forest Grove. In the 20 innings Ashlyn pitched last week, she had 32 strikeouts, a 1.75 ERA, .800 WHIP (walks+hits/innings pitched), and held opponents to a batting average of .178.
“Ashlyn is a great teammate who consistently supports others, always cheering on her teammates, and bringing positive energy to the team.”
Ashlynn was honored for softball last season as well.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Sprague Boys Golf, is junior Anderson Webb.
The following is provided by Coach Randy Peters:
Anders led the Sprague golf team to a first-place finish in a Central Valley Conference match at Creekside Golf Club on Monday, April 13th. Anders was the overall 1st place individual medalist, firing a personal best score of 76. He also led the field in birdies made with 3.
This is Anders 2nd year on the varsity golf team. Anders is the true meaning of a multi-sport athlete. This year he has earned varsity letters in cross country, golf, and volleyball. He also led the Sprague Club Raquetball team to The Nationals in St. Louis, MO back in February. His freshman year he played lacrosse and was on the swim team at Sprague. Anders is also heavily involved in Orchestra and Leadership at Sprague. Anders is an excellent student carrying a 3.7 GPA while juggling a heavy workload of classes and activities. He is a great teammate, always positive and a good role model.
This is Anderson’s first AoW honor.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Sprague Boys Track and Field, is senior Beck Olsen.
The following is provided by Coach Brent Charles:
“Beck is a captain on our team and is #1 in the district in the triple jump. He has gone over 41′ 1 1/4″ in the TJ and is 7th in the district in the long jump. Beck’s goal is to break into the top ten at Sprague in the TJ with a mark over 43′.”
This is Beck’s first AoW recognition.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from North Salem Boys Track and Field, is senior Braxton Singleton.
The following is provided by Coach Michael Herrmann:
Braxton is currently the Central Valley Conference leader in the 110-meter-high hurdles and the 300-meter intermediate hurdles. His time of 15.00a for the 110-meter-high hurdles was set on Saturday at the Need for Speed Invitational at Sherwood High School, where he finished .02 seconds behind last year’s 6A state leader in the event. Braxton also ranks 5th in senior class history in the event at North Salem and 5th best in 6A currently. He later came back to place 6th in the 300-meter hurdles at the same meet. Out of one of the slower-section heats, he lowered his lifetime personal best time in the event, and is now ranked 8th in school history among the senior class. Braxton was the 2025 6A State Champion in the 110m high hurdles, and is also the defending CVC champion in the event as well.
He is a 4-year varsity sprinter for the Viks and a 3rd year hurdler, and multi-sport star at North. He is a team captain, and will be playing football at the University of Oregon this fall.
Braxton has been honored as the Senior Football Athlete of the Year and AoW for football. This is his second AoW for Track and Field.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Salem Academy Softball, is junior Baylie Imig.
The following is provided by Coach Derek Imig:
In the first 4 games of the season Baylie is hitting .714 overall and .600 with runners in scoring position to go along with an on base percentage of .867. Baylie has scored 9 runs, driven in 6, and walked 7 times. Defensively, Baylie is able to provide coverage in multiple positions, starting the 1st 3 games in 3 different positions, P, 1B, CF.
This is Baylie’s first AoW honor.

The Salem Sports and Breakfast Club Les Schwab Athlete of the Week, from Salem Academy Girls Golf, is junior Ellie Gladow.
The following is provided by Coach Melissa Turner:
“So far every round we’ve played this year, she has improved her score. She started with an 80, then shot 77 at Pumpkin Ridge, 76 at McNary, and finally a one over 73 at Mallard Creek this past Monday. Ellie works so hard on her game year-round, while still maintaining a 4.0, and being active in other sports. She is an incredible all around person!”
This is Ellie’s third AoW recognition, the second for golf in addition to once for swimming.
