Several, local Salem-area golf teams opened up league play rounds on Monday. Here’s a Round-Up:
6A
SALEM, Ore. — At Illahe Hills Golf Course, the Sprague Girls Golf team won the CVC League #1 Tournament with a team score of 431 with Aubrey Sorenson (99) and Madison Morrow (104) finished second and third.
McNary’s Addy Andrew won the round individually with a round score of 93 with two birdies. South Salem finished second as a team.
In the CVC Boys League #1 Tournament, the Sprague Boys Golf team won the Team Round with a score of 332 with Colton Roundebush winning the round with a score of 73. South Salem saw Asher Jensen and Nate Hills finish second and third. West Salem’s Miles Cabling finished tied for fifth with 85 round.
5A Boyd Golf
DALLAS, Ore.– Woodburn’s Nehemiah Puente (80, sixth), Dallas’ Lukas Lawless (83, seventh) and Central’s Shane Lovas (84, tenth) finished in the Top 10 at the Mid-Willamette Conference League #1 Tournament at Cross Creek Golf Course.
5A Girls Golf
MONROE, Ore.– At Diamond Woods Golf Course, the Silverton Girls Golf team finished second as a team. Neeva Gigena finished fifth with a round of 97 score. Tylie Johnson finished eighth for the Foxes.
Dallas’ Bethany West finished third with a 90 round with Woodburn’s Jaclynn Ybarra finishing fourth with a 92 round.
4A Boys Golf
SALEM, Ore. — At Creekside Golf Club, the Cascade Boys Golf team won the Oregon West Conference League #1 Tournament with a team score of 343. Grant Hemelstrand finished tied for second with a 84 round with four Cougars finishing in the Top 6.
North Marion’s Miles Gianella finished tied for tenth with a 91 round and Stayton’s Wyatt Fred finished 13th with a 93 round.
4A/3A/2A/1A Girls Golf
SALEM, Ore. At Creekside Golf Course, Salem Academy’s Chloe Johnston shot a three-under par to win the league round on Monday. Johnston shot a 73 on the day with Ellie Gladow finishing second with a score of 80. The Crusaders shot a 320 as a team.
Hallie Beyer finished 11th to lead Blanchet. Beyer shot a 107.
3A/2A/1A Boys Golf
SALEM, Ore. — At Salem Golf Club, the Blanchet Catholic Boys Golf team wins the Special District 2 League Tournament Round with a score of 326.
Quinten Beyer (78), Dominick Hauge (78) finished tied for second with Kaden Orizotti (82) finishing fifth.
Salem Academy’s Isaiah Reina finished tied for sixth to lead the Crusaders. Reina shot a 85 with two birdies and five par’s.
