STAYTON, Ore.–  Silverton’s Sawyer Enderle entered the last day of Post 58 Crushers tryout looking for a cool accomplishment:
Playing American Legion ball for four seasons.
Starting after his freshman season at Silverton High School,  Enderle has taken advantage of the Summer time reps to better himself for the next school year to become a better, well-rounded ballplayer for his team
“It’s cool.  I’m really thankful for KB (Kyle Baker) and Jorge (Marquez), having them stay around and that’s what makes me want to stay and play for them,” said Enderle “The amount of reps I get is unbelievable. “
Enderle,  a first-team selection with the Foxes as an Infielder, will be heading to Blue Mountain Community College on Pendleton to continue both his athletic and academic career this next season.  Giving the Fox an opportunity to continue the game he loves for another few years.
“It’s going to be good, giving me some positive momentum going into college is going to be huge.  Seeing a lot of baseball, playing, and getting those extra reps and working on it is huge,” starts Enderle.  “I wake up every day and thrive to play baseball.  I don’t know, I love  it.”
Post 58 opens up the season June 7 against Lydo’s Lab for a doubleheader before playing the Baseballism Wet Soxs on June 8, also for a doubleheader.
