TURNER, Ore.– The legacy of Landon Knox will have a new chapter following his signing to Corban University on Wednesday afternoon at Cascade High School.
Knox’s High School is pretty decorated:
Three-time 4A All-State Player, three-time Player of the Year to go with four First Team All-League Selections. 1,706 career points and 430 career assists in his career from the tree tops. Those assist puts Knox in the Top 30 All-Time on the Career Assist ranks.
But it was all the work through the years that have helped him get to this point.
“I’ve definitely gotten better at understanding situational basketball and the flow of the game. Using my body and slowing down is something that has come in the last year. Improvements come from self-awareness and the ability to critique your game in order to get better,” Knox said.
As for the opportunity to join the Warriors of Salem. It was the reward of all that hard work and sacrifice.
“None of this could have happened without God and the blessings he’s given me. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to play at Corban and get a Christian education,” Knox starts. “I want to thank all my coaches and teammates for making it a great 4 years, and I especially want to thank my parents for all the sacrifices they made for me. I couldn’t have gotten here without any of them.”
Corban went 15-14 this past season, including going 13-9 in Cascade Collegiate Conference.
