Several local Salem-area golfers took part in Golf action Monday, and here’s a Round-Up of the action (my apologies if I missed anyone):
4A/3A/2A/1A Special District 3 Girls Golf
The Salem Academy Girls Golf team won the 4A/3A/2A/1A Special District 3 Match Monday at Salem Golf Course. The Crusaders saw four of their golfers finish in the Top 5 with Ellie Gladow taking the round with an 82 with nine pars. Alex Willcoxen and Chloe Johnston tied for second with an 89, and Sloane James finished fifth with a 90 for Salem Academy.
North Marion’s Riley Patzer finished seventh with a 105 round, and Blanchet’s Hallie Beyer finished eighth with a round score of 108.

4A Creekside Invitational
The Cascade Boys Golf team saw three finishers finishing in the Top 5, including Cruz Shank, who had won the event with a course-low 75 and had three birdies on the course. Isaac Laro was the highest finisher for Stayton at third, where Laro shot an 81 on the day with a bridie on 17 and had nine par’s on the course.

5A Mid-Willamette Conference Girls Golf
The Silverton Girls Golf team finished second in Monday’s MWC round at Mallard Creek Golf Course, nine strokes behind Crescent Valley who had won the match with a 428 team score and placing two in the Top 5. Amelia Broyhill was the highest finisher for the Foxes with a 99, good for fifth-place with three pars on the day.
Dallas’ Nerea Acosta Ruiz won the individual round with a 94 with four pars and a bridie on the 11th hole. Woodburn’s Jaclyn Ybarra finished eighth with a score of 101.

CVC Boys Holf Match 1
The South Salem Boys Golf team won the Central Valley Conference first match with a team score of 336. The Saxons Jacob Case won the round with a round score of 81 with 11 pars at Illahe Hills Golf Course.
Sprague finished second as a team with Brady Strenke and Colton Roundebush tied for third with a round score of 84. Strenke hit birdies on the first hole and 16th hole. Roundebush hit an eagle on the second hole and birdie on the fifth hole.
Asher Jensen and Daniel Nemeck finished second and fifth individually for South Salem with rounds of 83 and 85, respectively. West Salem was led by Miles Cabling with a round score of 86 finishing tied for sixth. North Salem’s Kep Barram finished sixth as well to lead the Vikings with eight pars.

CVC Girls Golf Match #1
The Sprague Girls Golf team won the first Central Valley Conference match with a team score of 429 with Isabella Morrow, Amari Young, and Aubrey Sorenson finishing in the Top5. Morrow won the round with a score of 94 with four par’s and a biridie on the 14th hole.
Riley Sparkman of West Salem finished second with a 102 round with two par’s and a biride on the sixth hole. McNary’s Izzy Faulkner finished third with a score of 106
